ASI killed in Gazipur road accident

An assistant sub-inspector was killed after a passenger hit his motorcycle in Tongi area in Gazipur on Friday morning (February 2).

The deceased was known as Hasanuzzaman, 30.

Police and local sources said that riding a motorcycle, the police officer and a constable were heading towards Ijtema venue around 7:30am. Meanwhile, a passenger bus, hit the bike from backside, leaving the him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter, Gazipur Metropolitan police deputy-police commissioner Ibrahim Hossain said legal step is being taken in this regard.
