2 motorcyclists killed in Sirajganj road accident

Two motorcyclists were killed after being crushed under the wheels of a truck on the Sirajganj-Sayedabad-Dhaka highway in Sirajganj Sadar upazila.

The incident took place in Ramgoti Bazar area of the upazila on Tuesday (February 6) afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Shuvo, 20, son of Shah Jalal and Swapon Sheikh, 20, son of Munnaf Sheikh.

Quoting locals, Sirajganj Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Sirajul Islam said the duo rammed into a truck from opposite direction on the way to Sirajganj from Sayedabad area. They both were critically injured.

They were rescued and taken to a local hospital where the on-duty doctor declared them dead.

Being informed, police seized the truck from the spot, said the OC.
