Rohingya woman held in Lalmonirhat

A Rohingya woman was detained from Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat district while crossing border to India.

The detainee is known as – Ramida, 23, a resident of Balukhali Rohingya camp-16, block-c of Ukhiya.

Patgram police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ferdous Wahid said the Rohingya woman tried to enter into Indian territory crossing Dahgram-Angarpota border on Monday morning. Meanwhile, the members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained her and handed over to police.

Later, she was given first aid at upazila health complex, said the OC.
