Travel restrictions to Saint Martin for indefinite period

The Cox’s Bazar district administration has imposed some restrictions on travel to the coral island Saint Martin for an indefinite period due to the ongoing conflict in Myanmar.  

From Sunday (February 11), no tourists will be able to travel to the island. 

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Cox's Bazar Md Yamin Hossain confirmed this on Wednesday (February 7) night.

He said that from February 11, the movement of tourist ships on the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf-Saint Martin route will be suspended for an indefinite period. This decision has been taken as part of security measures.
