Three killed in bus-covered van collision in Cox’s Bazar

At least three people were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a covered van on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway in Chakaria upazila in the district on Thursday morning (February 8).

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident took place in Harbang area around 10:30am.

Chiringa highway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubul Haque said five more people also received injuries in the accident. Later, another person died under treatment.

The injured were sent to hospital, the OC added.
