Truck hits easy-bike in Khulna, five killed 

Five passengers of a battery-run three-wheeler, popularly known as easy-bike, were killed as a truck hit it near Khornia Petrol Pump on Khulna-Chuknagar road on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Sabbir Moral, 23, son of Hannan Morol at Angardoha village of Khornia union, Bishajit Biswas, 30, easy-bike driver at Jieltala village under Shovna union, Nipa Dhali, 28, at Bil Pabla village under Gutudia union, Amori Dhali, 55 and Orni Biswas, 4.

Officer-in-Charge of Dumuria Thana Sukanto Saha confirmed the news.

Of them, two met their end of lives on the spot, two at the upazila health complex and the two-year-old children died at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH). All the victims were passengers of the easy-bike, police said.

Besides, two people who sustained injuries in the accident are now undergoing treatment at the KMCH.
