Two siblings die from electrocution in Pirojpur

Two siblings have died being electrocuted after falling into an electric trap to control rat at Uribunia village under Baldia union in Nesarabad upazila of Pirojpur district.

The dead bodies were recovered on Saturday morning. The deceased were identified as Enam Haque, 20 and Nadim Haque, 24, sons of Aynal Haque of the village.

Nesarabad Police Station officer-in-charge HM Shahin said a farmer set an electric trap to control rat on his land adjacent to a canal.  Enam and Nadim went there to poach birds on Friday night.

As they were unaware of the trap they got electrocuted when they stepped into the land.
