Biswa Ijtema`s 2nd phase ends with Akheri Munajat

The second and last phase of Bishwa Ijtema ended on Sunday (February 11) with Akheri Munajat.

Millions of Muslim devotees from home and abroad joined the sermon. Maulana Saad Kandhalvir's eldest son Maulana Yusuf bin Saad conducted the munajat.

The munajat was held from 11:17am to 11:43am.

The day started with a sermon by Indian Tabligh leader Mufti Maksud after the Fajr prayer, with Maulana Abdullah of Bangladesh providing the Bangla translation, further bridging cultural and linguistic divides among the attendees.

The authorities have arranged special bus and train services on the occasion. Besides, the police took a special traffic plan to handle the extra pressure of the pilgrims.

Earlier, the first phase of Ijtema ended on February 4.
