Gunshots heard again on Teknaf border

The sounds of gunshots and mortar shells were heard again from Unchiprang border of Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar in the early hours of Sunday (February 11).
But Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members are on high alert at the border.
Panic gripped the local residents hearing the sounds of gunshots.
A youth named Mahmud Selim said, “The Unchiprang border is shaking off with gunshots on regular basis, gripping local residents with panic. People of the entire village get flabbergasted at the sounds of gunshots and mortar shells.”
Nur Ahmed Anwari, chairman of Hoaikong Union Parishad, said: “The sounds of gunshots and mortar shells were heard on the border. However, BGB members are on high alert at the border.”
