Martyred intellectual recognition after 52 years

Shamsuddin Ahmed has been recognized as martyred intellectual after 52 years.
He was a deputy magistrate in Rajshahi during the liberation war in 1971.
On February 8 (Thursday), his name was included in the list of martyred intellectuals of the Ministry of Liberation War. His serial number is 92 in the third list of Gazette-427.
The Pakistani military abducted and killed him, but his body was not found.
His elder son Salahuddin Ahmed Selu confirmed the news. He said they were trying for a longtime.
The Pakistani military with the help of their infamous local cohorts -- al-Badr, al-Shams and Razakars -- abducted and killed hundreds of eminent intellectuals.
Shamsuddin Ahmed was born in Tarail upazila of Kishoreganj district.
