NGO worker found dead in Kurigram

A female NGO worker’s body was found in Khalilganj Bazar of Kurigram municipality on Wednesday evening (February 14).

The deceased was known as Shefali Begum, 32, wife of Ranzu Sarker.

The victim’s colleague Sathi said she had talked with Shefali around 11:56am. She came to visit me around 2:30pm along with his husband at Kurigram General Hospital. From then, she went missing. Later, she was found dead at his house.

Kurigram Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Masudur Rahman said legal steps will be taken after investigation.
