4 killed as truck collides with auto-rickshaw in Tangail

Four people were killed after a truck and a CNG-run auto rickshaw collided head on at Mirzapur upazila of Tangail on Sunday (February 18) afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Luftar Rahman, 40, Rahima Begum, 45, Akash Mia, 30 and Nazmul Hasan, 35.

Mirzapur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rezaul Karim, said the accident happened this afternoon on Gorai-Shakhipur regional road in Telipara area of the Bashtoil union of the upazila, when a truck from Shakhipur collided head on with the auto-rickshaw, leaving four people including the driver of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot.
