Two killed in Madaripur road crash

At least two people were killed when a motorcycle hit a three-wheeler in Achamat Ali Khan bridge toll area on Tuesday night (February 27).

The deceased were known as – Rifat Bali, 19, son of Mohammad Ali Bali, Maruf Sardar, 30, son of Muktar Sardar.

Fire service and witnesses said the two victims were heading towards town from Matherbazar by a motorcycle around 10:00pm. Meanwhile, the bike collided with a three-wheeler in the area, leaving Maruf dead on the spot and injured Rifat.

Later, locals sent the injured to Madaripur Sadar hospital where he died under treatment.

Madaripur sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AHM Salahuddin confirmed the matter.
