Shah Alam selling products at one taka profit on occasion of Ramadan

Shah Alam, a shopkeeper of Ward No. 9 in Faridganj municipality of Chandpur, has started selling products at a profit of one taka on the occasion of Ramadan.

Basically, he has taken the initiative to encourage other businessmen to sell products at a small profit during the Ramadan without making much profit. 

On Wednesday (March 6), during the visit to Shah Alam Store at Taltala Market of Charkumura, it was seen that he was selling food items at a profit of only one taka over his purchase price.

Locals said during the month of Ramadan in 2023, Shah Alam also sold Ramadan food items at a profit of Tk one in his shop. At present, he is selling chickpeas at Tk 99, kesari dal at Tk 109, flattened rice (chira) at Tk 56, sugar at Tk 139, beson at Tk 81, puffed rice (muri) at Tk 63 and dates at Tk 258 at a profit of Tk one. Edible oil (soybean) is being sold at Tk 140 per liter.
