Missing after falling from launch, youth found dead in Meghna

A youth who went missing in the Meghna after falling from a launch at the Matlab Uttar upazila in Chandpur on March 2 was found dead in the river on Wednesday (March 6).

The deceased was known as Ashikur Rahman, 22, son of late Shah Alam, hailed from Raghunathpur village.

Mohanpur river police outpost In-charge Md Moniruzzaman said police recovered the floating body from Bahadurpur village of Mohanpur union on Wednesday noon.

Earlier, the youth fell in the river from Parabat-2 launch. He went to Charmonai Mahfil.
