Motorcyclist killed in Munshiganj road crash

A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a passenger bus of Tisha Paribahan on Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj on Thursday (March 7).

The deceased was identified as Aktar Hossain Dhali, 65, son of late Hossain Dhali, a resident of Sreenagar village under Bhaberchar union of the upazila.

Gazaria Fire Service Station Sub Officer Ali Azgar said, after receiving information, the body was recovered and sent to Gazaria Upazila Health Complex.

Bhaberchar highway police outpost in-charge Humayun Kabir said the body is in Gazaria Upazila Health Complex. The bus was seized but its driver and helper managed to flee the scene.

Legal action will be taken in this incident, he said.
