Eight killed in Pirojpur road crash

At least eight people were killed when a passenger bus rammed an auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle in Parerhat union of Pirojpur on Friday noon (March 8).

Some of the deceased are Naim Hawladar,19, Mansura Begum, 50, Hemayet Hawladar, 50, Md Khairul Farazi, 20, and Swapon.

Local sources said a passenger bus hit the auto rickshaw and motorcycle in Jhautala bus stand area around 12:00pm, leaving eight people dead on the spot and injured many others.

Pirojpur Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Kamruzzaman said number of deaths may increase.
