Cumilla city polls: 2 suffer bullet wounds

Two people sustained bullet wounds in an exchange of gunfight between two groups during the by-elections to Cumilla City Corporations.

The incident took place at about 10am on Saturday (March 9) beside Munshi AM Ali High School centre under ward no 19 in the Cumilla Metropolitan.

The injured were taken to Cumilla Medical College Hospital with the help of locals.

Locals said the exchange of gunfight happened between the supporters of ‘Horse symbol’ and ‘Bus symbol’ around 10am. Two supporters of Horse symbol--Tuhin Hossain and Jahir Hossain--suffered bullet wounds in their legs when Sujon, a Chhatra League leader, opened fire on them.
