5 hand bombs recovered from Madaripur

Police recovered five hand bombs from a village in Mastafapur union of Madaripur Sadar upazila on Saturday (March 9).
Sources said that there was dispute between two local people Iqbal Darji and Enamul Darji over establishing supremacy. Following the dispute, supporters of Enamul Darji were heading towards the house of Iqbal Darji with the band bombs.
Meanwhile, sensing the presence of police the Enamul Darji and his followers fled the scene leaving the hand bombs. Later, bomb disposal units rushed to the spot and defused the bombs.
Madaripur Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AHM Salahuddin confirmed the matter.
