Syndicates holding government hostage, says GM Quader

Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has said syndicates of importers and traders are holding the government hostage.

He has blamed the government’s failure to thwart the network of syndicates that are controlling kitchen markets. As a result, it is not possible to control commodity prices during the month of Ramadan.

He said this to journalists at Rangpur Circuit House on Monday (March 11) afternoon. Earlier, he came to Rangpur on a two-day visit.
