Pirates hijack Bangladeshi ship, 23 crew members hostage

A Bangladeshi-flagged ocean-going vessel named MV ABDULLAH owned by KSRM Group, carrying 23 crew members, has been hijacked by Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean.
KSRM Group came to known the matter at around 1.00pm on Tuesday (March 12).
Meherul Karim, CEO of the group, said the vessel was going to UAE carrying coal from Mozambique. There were 23 crew members in the vessel and all have remained safe.
The shipping ministry and foreign ministry have been informed the matter.
