JnU student’s suicide: Case filed against classmate, teacher 

A case has been filed against Assistant Proctor Deen Islam and classmate Amman Siddiqui for instigating Jagannath University (JnU) student Fairuz Abantika to commit suicide. 

Abantika’s mother Shabnam filed the case with Kotwali Thana on Saturday night.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Thana Feroz Hossain confired the news.

Fairuz Abantika was a student of the law department of Jagannath University (JnU). She committed ‘suicide’ at her Cumilla residence after posting a suicidal note on Facebook blaming the varsity teacher and a classmate on Friday night.

Following the incident, the students of JnU are staging demo on the campus from Friday midnight.
