Gazipur cylinder blast: Death toll rises to 13

Another two persons, who were burnt in a fire caused by a gas cylinder explosion in Gazipur’s Kaliakair upazila, died at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Tuesday night, raising the death toll from the incident to 13.
Yeasin Arafat breathed his last around 7.30am on Tuesday while Moshiur Rahman succumbed to his injuries around 9.30pm. The both were being treated at ICU department of the burn institute.
Dr Tarikul Islam, residential doctor of the institute, confirmed the matter.
Yeasin sustained 62 percent burns while Moshiur suffered 60 percent, he said.
Another 15 people are currently undergoing treatment at the burn institute.
At least 36 people, including women and children, sustained burn injuries after a gas cylinder exploded in Kaliakair of Gazipur on Wednesday (March 13).
