AL issues show-cause to Rajshahi-4 MP Abul Kalam Azad

The ruling Awami Legue (AL) has issued a show cause notice to the Rajshahi-4 lawmaker Abul Kalam Azad.

AL office secretary Biplab Barua issued the notice on Tuesday (March 19).

According to the notice, the party's image has been tarnished by Abul Kalam Azad's speech which was circulated on social media recently. Giving such a statement is against the discipline of the organization and is a punishable offense according to the constitution of Awami League.

Following the show-cause notice, Awami League deputy office secretary Sayem Khan said that the matter of giving show cause notice is correct. The letter was sent by a courier. After receiving the reply to the show cause notice, the Central Committee will take decision in this regard.
