Police member on duty killed in Narayanganj

A traffic police member named Abdul Gafur, 48, was killed as a bus hit him while he was on duty in Chhonpara area of Arihazar in Narayanganj on Wednesday noon.

Abdul Gafur hailed from Jamalpur district.

According to locals, a Narsingdi-bound bus of Sohag Paribahan hit two police members-Gafur and Mannan. They were admitted to US Bangla Hospital in Rupganj where Abdul Gafur died. 

Police seized the bus, but its driver managed to flee the spot.
