Rape case filed against Tangail AL leader 

A college girl has filed a rape case against Tangail City Awami League leader Golam Kibria alias Boro Monir.

The case was filed with Turag Police Station in the capital on Saturday.

Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of Uttara zone Md Shajahan  said the victim has been sent to a hospital for investigation, and legal actions are being taken seeing video footage.

According to police, the college girl made a complain of rape on national emergency number 999 on Friday. Then the Turag police went to the Uttara residence of Boro Monir and found out the girl there. Later, she made a written complain and Turag Police Station recorded the complain as a case.
