Tangail road crash kills 2

At least two people were killed when a covered-van hit a private car on Dhaka-Tangail Bangabandhu highway on Sunday (March 31).

The deceased were identified as Md Elias Hossain, 35, son of Abdul Mannan, Shah Alam, 45, son of late Nur Mohammad.

Elenga highway police outpost In-charge Sajedul Islam said carrying three passengers, a private car was heading towards northern regions around 8:00am. Meanwhile, an unidentified covered van hit the car from backside in Ashekpur area, leaving driver of the car dead on the spot and injured three others.

Later, another people of the car died under treatment, he added.
