Writ seeks permission for student politics at BUET

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking its permission to launch systematic student politics in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

The writ was filed with the branch concerned of the High Court on Monday (April 1).

Hearing on the writ petition is likely to be held in the bench of Justice Md Khasruzzaman this noon.

Senior Supreme Court lawyer Shah Monjurul Hoque confirmed the information.

The writ sought a stay on the notice issued by the university authorities to ban student politics on their campus, he said.
