Two killed in Meherpur road crash

At least two people were killed when a truck rammed a motorcycle in Chandbil Impact hospital area on Meherpur-Chuadanga road in sadar upazila of Meherpur on Monday (April 1).

Of the deceased one was known as Hasan Ali, 19, son of Liton Ali, hailed from Chandbik village.

Meherpur fire service station officer Ruhul Amin said cement-laden a truck hit the motorcycle in the area around 8:00am, leaving the two people dead on the spot.

Additional police super (Sadar Circle) Abdur Karim said the bodies were taken to morgue for autopsy. Besides, the truck was seized as evidence following the accident.
