HC allows student politics on BUET campus

The students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) can run political activities, according to the High Court.

An HC bench of Justice Md Khasruzzaman and Justice KM Jahid Sarwar passed the order on Monday (April 1).

Earlier, BCL central committee leader and BUET student Imtiaz Hossain Rahim Rabbi filed a writ petition challenging the ban on student politics in the campus.

Following the high court order, BUET VC Prof Satya Prasad Majumder said the High Court's decision on student politics in BUET should be followed. The next decision will be taken after discussing with the lawyer.
