Election Commission wants to continue its standard  

Election Commissioner (EC) Rashida Sultana has said that they have set a standard though holding the 12th national election, and now they want to continue and develop it. 

She categorically said this while speaking at a law-order meeting related to the sixth upazila parishad election at Shilpakala Academy in Rajshahi as the chief guest on Tuesday.  

“Our only message is to hold the local government election in a free, fair and festive mood,” she said.

EC Rashida Sultana said the voters will come to exercise their rights of franchise. We are all liable to ensure the rights of votes, she added.  

With Commissioner of Rajshahi division Dr Dewan Humayun Kabir in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Faisal Mahmud, Additional Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Hemayetul Islam and Regional Election Officer Delwar Hossain.
