Jute mill fire in Khulna under control after 6-hour

A fire that broke out at a jute mill in Khulna’s Rupsa upazila on Wednesday afternoon, was brought under control after six hours effort.
Fire service assistant Faruk Hossain Shikder confirmed the matter on Thursday morning (April 4).
He said the fire was brought under control around 11:00pm.
Earlier, the fire broke out around 5:30pm at the Salam Jute mill situated in the upazila’s Jabusa area. On information, 16 fire units of fire service and two units of navy started to douse the blaze.
The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
