Heroin worth Tk3 seized in Rajshahi

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 3kg of heroin worth TK 3 crore from Godagari border area of Rajshahi district on Thursday morning (April 4).

Meanwhile, the law enforcers detained a suspected drug trader.

The detainee is known as Rasel, 25, hailed from Charbhubanpara village of Asariadah union in Godagari upazila.

RAB-5 commander lieutenant colonel Munim Ferdous said that acting on secret information, RAB cordoned the house of a drug trader Abdur Rahim, 45, this morning. However, sensing the presence of RAB members, the trader managed to flee the scene and Rasel was caught.

Later, following the information of the detainee, the heroin was seized from the spot.
