Attack at Rampal Power Plant: 11 held

Police detained 11 people for their alleged involved in the attacking Bagerhal’s Rampal thermal power plant on Thursday (April 4).

Identities of the detainees could not be known immediately.

Bagerhat additional police super (crime and ops) Raselur Rahman revealed the matter in a press conference this noon.

He said on Wednesday night, 30 to 40 people attacked on security guards entering into the site from the side of Tower No. 3 of the Material Yard. On information, ansar members chased the thieves. At one stage, the intruders attacked the security personnel. Meanwhile, ansar members opened blank fire to bring the situation under control.

Following the incident, 11 people were detained from the adjacent area for the shake of investigation.
