Husband, wife die in Mymensingh road accident

A husband and wife have been killed after their motorcycle crashed into an electric pole in Lakkhikura Bazar under Haluaghat Upazila in Mymensingh during their Eid journey.

The deceased were known as Saidur Rahman, 28, and his wife Sonia Akter, 22.

Haluaghat police station Officer-in-Charger (OC) Md Mahbubul Haque said the couple was heading towards their home to Roumari riding a motorcycle this morning. They were on the road leading to the border near Lakshikura Bazar when the motorcycle crashed into an electricity pole, killing Saidur on the spot and injured Sonia.

Later, the injured was sent to upazila health complex where she died under treatment.
