Import-export thru’ Benapole port suspended for 5 days

The export-import operations through Benapole Land Port in Jashore will remain suspended for five days due to Eid-ul-Fitr and Pahela Baishakh.

Benapole C & F agent Association general secretary Emdadul Haque Lata confirmed the matter.

Loading and unloading of goods at the port will also remain suspended to stop the movement of trucks, vans and Lorries on highways three days before and three days after Eid-ul-Fitr to ensure hassle-free travel for holidaymakers.

Kamruzzaman Biswas, officer-in-charge of Benapole Check Post Immigration Police, said the activities of the immigration department at the land port will remain as usual during the holiday. The area remains crowded a bit at this time. That is why the officials working in immigration have been kept standby.
