Land dispute leaves one dead in Mymensingh

One person was killed in a clash over a land dispute in Khagati Bazar Eidgah field under Trishal upazila in Mymensingh on Saturday night (April 6).

The deceased was known as Abdul Kadir Jilani, 50, son of Abdus Sobahan, hailed Jamtala village of Mokkhapur union.

Bikash Sarker, sub-inspector at Trishal police station said that there was a land dispute among Abdul Kadir, Mamun, Sohagh. Centering the dispute, they locked into a clash around 9:30pm, leaving Abdul Kadir injured.

Later, he was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
