Banker dies in Jhenaidah road crash

A banker has been killed in a road accident after being pinned down by a truck in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah.

The deceased was known as Hasanuzzaman, 45, son of Shamsher Ali. He was a manger of IFIC Bank in Satkhira.

Witnesses said the victim was heading towards Satkhira from Jhenaidah around 5:30am. He fell on the ground after being a hit with another bike. Meanwhile, a speedy truck ran over him, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter, Kaliganj police station Sub-Inspector Mahidul Islam said police detained the truck driver and helper after the accident.
