Gold price rises again

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) on Monday (April 8) decided to increase the gold price within a span of a day.
This time, BAJUS announced a Tk1,750 rise in gold prices per bhori.
A press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of BAJUS, disclosed this on Monday (April 8).
According to the press release, the new price will come into effect from this afternoon.
As per the new price, every bhori of 22-carat gold will cost Tk1,17,573, marking the highest price ever in Bangladesh, up from Tk1,15,824.
Meanwhile, customers will have to pay Tk1,12,207 for 21-carat gold, Tk96,228 for 18-carat gold and Tk80,190 for traditional gold.
