Country’s various villages celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr following Saudi Arabia

People from different districts across the country have celebrated holy Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the greatest religious festivals for Muslims, on Wednesday (April 10) following Saudi Arabia.

Residents of different villages from Shariatpur, Chandpur, Chattogram, Satkhira, Dinajpur and Pirojpur districts have celebrated Eid today receiving the news that Shawal moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia.

In Shariatpur, residents of at least 30 villages in the district have celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr. The Eid congregation was held at Sureshwar Darbar Sharif ground under Naria upazila at 9 am.

In Chandpur, residents of around 40 villages in the district have celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr following middle east countries including Saudi Arabia.

The villagers of Hajiganj, Faridganj, Matlab North, Kachua and Sharasti upazilas of the district celebrated Eid.

Pir Dr Bakibillah Mishkat Chowdhury, Pirzada of Sadra Darbar Sharif in Hajiganj, confirmed the information.

In Chattogram, residents of around 42 villages in the district have celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr in line with Saudi Arabia. Basically, they are the followers of Mirzakhil Darbar Sharif in Satkania upazila.

In Satkhira, residents of around 25 villages in the district have celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr in line with Saudi Arabia with the Eid jamaat held at 8 am.

In Dinajpur, residents of five upazilas in the district have celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr in line with Saudi Arabia.

In Pirojpur, residents from 11 villages of three upazilas have celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr in line with Saudi Arabia.

Besides, Eid congregations were also held at different places of Lakshmipur, Munshiganj, Jhenaidah, Chapainawabganj, Noakhali, Feni, Narayanganj and Kurigram districts.
