Record Tk 5 crore toll collected from Padma Bridge in 24 hours

A record amount of Tk4,89,94,700 was collected in tolls from 45,204 vehicles that crossed the Padma Bridge in the past 24 hours ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the greatest religious festivals for Muslims.

The toll was collected from Monday 12am to Tuesday 12am.

Amirul Haider Chowdhury, additional director of the Padma Bridge site office, confirmed the information on Wednesday (April 10).
