Fire at S Alam’s oil factory

A fire broke out at an edible oil factory of S Alam Group at Moijjartek in Chattogram on Friday (April 12).

The fire originated in the office room of the factory at around 8.30am.

Fire Service and Civil Defence Department Chattogram Deputy Director Dinomoni Sharma confirmed the matter.

On information, eight firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.

The reason behind the fire and the extent of damage in the incident could not be known immediately.
