Youth shot dead in Cox’s Bazar

A youth was shot dead centering alleged previous enmity in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday night (April 16).

The deceased was known as Mohammad Selim, 38, son of Nur Mohammad.

Family sources said that the victim Mohammad Selim contested in union parishad election from ward number-1. His nearest rival union parishad member Jahed Sikdar started to threat him after winning the polls.

Cox’s Bazar Additional Police Super (Chakaria circle) Rakib-ur-Raza said police drive is underway to arrest the killers.
