EC postpones polls in 3 upazilas of Bandarban

The Election Commission (EC) postponed the polling in three upazilas of Bandarban district.

Election Commission Secretary Jahangir Alam made the announcement while addressing reporters after a coordination meeting held on Tuesday (23 April).

He said joint forces are conducting operations in Thanchi, Ruma and Rangchari upazilas of Bandarban. That’s why the polls in the three upazilas have been postponed.

Meanwhile, the EC secretary also said that the law forcers will take all types of steps to keep the law-and-order situation normal in this upazila election.
