Three teenage boys drown in Padma

Three teenage boys drowned in the Padma river in Rajshahi’s Paba upazila while they were taking bath on Tuesday noon.

The incident took place at around 1:00pm at Shyampur Balurghat under Katakhali upazila of Rajshahi district.

The deceased are Md. Jubaraj, 11, son of Md Rentu in Katakhali municipality, Md Nuruzzaman, 14, son of Noor Islam, and Ariful Islam Arif, 14, son of Liton.

Abdur Razzak of Rajshahi Fire Service and Civil Defence  said the trio went missing after they got into the river to take bath. On information, fire service divers went to spot and recovered the dead bodies.
