Temperature 42.4 degree Celsius recorded in Rajshahi

42.7 degree Celsius temperature was recorded in Rajshahi on Friday.

Md Gausuzzaman, officer of Rajshahi weather office, said the temperature was recorded at 3:00pm.

People in the district are experiencing scorching heat as a severe heatwave continues to batter Rajshahi for the past two weeks.

The extreme heat has put the working people in great trouble, particularly the laborers who are engaged in harvesting Boro paddy in the district. Due to the heat, people are unwilling to leave their homes unless it is an emergency.
