Squadron leader Asim laid to rest in Manikganj

Late Squadron Leader Asim Jawwad was buried with state honour at Seota graveyard after a namaz-e- janaza at Manikganj Shahid Miraj-Tapon stadium on Friday afternoon.
People from all strata, including representatives from district administration, political leaders and freedom fighters, took part in the janaza after Jummah prayers.
Earlier, carrying the body, a helicopter of air force landed at Shaheed Miraz-Tapan stadium around 12:00pm.
Squadron Leader Asim Jawwad was the pilot of a Bangladesh Air Force Yak-130 jet trainer that crashed in Karnaphuli of Chattogram on Thursday.
He left behind his wife, a daughter and a son, his father and mother and a lot of relatives to mourn his death.
Asim Jawwad, 31, was the only son of Dr Aman Ullah of village Gopalpur under Saturia upazila of the district.
Asim was born on March 20, 1992. He passed SSC in 2007 from Savar Cantonment Public School and HSC in 2009 from Savar Cantonment School and College. He joined the Bangladesh Air Force in 2010.
