Woman arrested with 1.5 lakh yaba pills

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a woman and seized 150,000 pieces of yaba pills from her Sabrang area of Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar on Monday afternoon (May 13).

Nur Fatema, 26, wife of Abdul Amin, hailed from Shahporir Dwip.

RAB-15 senior assistant director Additional Police Super Md Abu Salam Chowdhury said acting on a secret information, the law enforcers conducted a drive in the area yesterday evening and detained the drug peddler.

Meanwhile, 1.5 lakh yaba pills were recovered from her residence as per the information of the detainee.

The detainee has been sent to Teknaf police station along with the seized yaba pills, the RAB official added.
