MV Jahan Moni carrying 23 sailors arrives at Ctg port

Bangladeshi flag carrier ‘MV Jahan Moni’, carrying 23 crew members of MV Abdullah which was recently released from the captivity of Somali pirates, has reached the Chittagong Port.

The ship anchored at the port at 3:43 pm on Tuesday (May 14).

The Chittagong Port Authority has a reception at the New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT) to welcome back the sailors.

Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury and chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority Mohammad Sohail were present during the reception.

The ship MV Abdullah anchored at the Kutubdia outer anchorage area at 6:30pm last evening (May 13). A new team of 23 sailors reached the venue around 8:30pm to take charge of the ship.
