AL leader dies after litchi seed stuck in throat in Manikganj

A person died after a litchi seed stuck in his throat in Kalia village of Borotia union under Ghior of Manikganj on Tuesday noon.

The deceased was known as Abdul Majid Mia, 65, son of late Abdul Kashem Mia. The victim was former vice-president of Borotia union Awami League.

Borotia union parishad chairman Shamsul Alam Rawshan said while eating a litchi, its seed got stuck in his throat, causing breathing problem.

Later, he was taken to Shibalay upazila health complex where the duty doctor declared him dead, he added.
